Endure—Never Give Up

Have you ever experienced such challenges in your life that you felt like you could not go on and you felt like giving up?

We can encounter such hardships in this life that require such great endurance.

In the face of difficulties, troubles, and challenges, we need God’s strength and help if we are to endure and to make it through.

The Prophet Isaiah encourages his readers with these words from God, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10).

When we are afraid and weak, God is with us to uphold us and to strengthen us and to help see us through. God has us in his hand.

As the Apostle Paul proclaimed, “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6).

God will se us through to the end. We can endure and never give up, because God endured it all and never gives up on us.

May we be free of all fear and trust that God is with us, empowering us, strengthening us, helping us, upholding us in his righteous right hand, and seeing us through to completion.

A Collect For Endurance: “Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the Cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
