Endure Unto The Promise

What would motivate you to endure the hardships of your life?

What if there were a promised reward at the end of you enduring your hard times?

We all experience the difficulties of life that require us to endure.

If we endure the hardships of this life, a promised reward awaits us.

The author of Hebrews captures this truth of our reward at the end of our endurance when he writes, “For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.” (Hebrews 10:36, ESV).

God has his perfect will and reward for us at the end of our endurance.

Our job is simply to trust God and to endure the hardships of this life—trusting in God, trusting in his will, and trusting in his good reward at the end of our endurance.

May we endure our hardships, recognizing this is the will of God, and that God rewards us at the end of our endurance.

A Collect For Endurance: “Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the Cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
