Established and Guarded

How are you established in all your ways? How are you guarded from the evil in this fallen world?

God’s desire is to establish his children in him, and to protect them from the evil one, and all the evil in this fallen world.

The Apostle Paul wrote the church in Thessalonica, saying, “But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3, ESV).

It is God that establishes us and guards us against all evil.

May we trust in God and look to him to establish us and to protect us from evil.

A Collect for the Wednesday after the Second Sunday of Easter: “Almighty and everlasting God, who in the Paschal mystery established the new covenant of reconciliation: Grant that all who have been reborn into the fellowship of Christ's Body may show forth in their lives what they profess by their faith; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
