Faithful With What You Have
What are you doing with what you have? Are you proving to be faithful with what you have been given—no matter what it is you have been given?
It has been said that past performance indicates future behavior.
What we do with what we have been given indicates how we will function if we are given more.
In Luke’s gospel account, Jesus said, “One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.” (Luke 16:10, ESV).
God desires for us to be faithful with what he has given us. When we are faithful in a little, God can trust us to be faithful with so much more. The task for us is to be faithful with what we have been given.
May we experience God’s abundant blessings as we are faithful with with what he has entrusted to us.
A Collect for Guidance: “Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
