God’s Faithfulness

What do you do when you cannot do life on your own? What happens when you are unable to be faithful on your own?

When we are unable, God is able. When we are unfaithful, God is faithful.

The Apostle Paul wrote the church in Corinth encouraging them, saying, “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:9, ESV).

God is faithful. God calls us into the fellowship of Jesus.

Because God is faithful, we have fellowship with him. When we are unable to do life and faith on our own, God is faithful and keeps us in his fellowship.

May we experience God’s calling into the fellowship of Jesus as we receive his faithfulness in our lives.

A Collect for the Second Sunday of Epiphany: “Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
