God’s Goodness and Love

Do you believe that God is good? Do you believe that God loves you?
Not only is God good, but God’s goodness and love for us is steady and enduring.
The Chronicler wrote, encouraging the people of God, saying, “Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!” (1 Chronicles 16:34, ESV).
We can give thanks to God because he is fundamentally good and because his loyal love for us is eternal.
May we rest assured of God’s goodness and everlasting love for us.
A Collect for the Tuesday after Trinity Sunday: “O Lord, from whom all good proceeds: Grant us the inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may always think those things that are good, and by your merciful guidance may accomplish the same; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
