Help in Trouble

In what ways do you need help? How present to you is the help you need?

We all need help in difficulties and in hard times. We need the safety and security of peaceful refuge, strong protection, and provision when trouble comes.

The Psalmist writes, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1, ESV).

God is our shelter and our helping hand. God provides the help we need in our trouble. God is very present with us in our difficulties.

May we find the help we need in our trouble as we come to God and receive the safety and security of peaceful refuge, strong protection, and provision from him.

A Collect for Sabbath Rest: “Almighty God, who after the creation of the world rested from all your works and sanctified a day of rest for all your creatures: Grant that we, putting away all earthly anxieties, may be duly prepared for the service of your sanctuary, and that our rest here upon earth may be a preparation for the eternal rest promised to your people in heaven; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
