Light Shining

Are you shining the light of your faith wherever you go?

We are called to shine the light of Jesus to everyone around us so they can see our good works and give God glory.

In Matthew’s Gospel account, Jesus said, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16, ESV).

When we live out our faith, we shine the light of God into the darkness of this world, and people are able to see our deeds, and they are able to see God and worship him.

May we shine the light of our faith into the darkness so that everyone will see and worship God.

A Collect for The Second Sunday of Epiphany: Almighty God, whose Son our Savior Jesus Christ is the light of the world: Grant that your people, illumined by your Word and Sacraments, may shine with the radiance of Christ's glory, that he may be known, worshiped, and obeyed to the ends of the earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, now and for ever. Amen. (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
