Peaceful Wisdom

Are you at peace when you do not have the wisdom you need to navigate life? When you need wisdom and direction, what do you do?

It can be disorienting not knowing what to do or how to go about our life with wise purpose, direction, and intentionality.

We need God’s wisdom to navigate the way and to have God’s peace in life.

In the book of James, the author James, the half brother of Jesus, writes, “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.” (James 1:5, ESV).

God desires to give us the wisdom we need— we only need to ask God and he will provide for us the wisdom we are lacking. God gives us his wisdom generously and graciously when we ask it of him.

May we experience the peace of God as we experience God’s provision of the wisdom we desperately need to navigate life.

A Collect for Peace: “O God, the source of all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works: Give to your servants that peace which the world cannot give, that our hearts may be set to obey your commandments, and that we, being defended from the fear of our enemies, may pass our time in rest and quietness; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
