Scarcity or Abundance

Do you think that there is enough and will be more, or do you believe that there is little and even what you have will be taken away or will run out? Do you have a scarcity mindset or an abundance mindset?

When we see that we have been given plenty and have plenty to give and to share, we will find that there is always more to give and to share. When we think that we have little and we do not give or share, we will soon find that we have nothing left for ourselves and we have nothing to give or to share.

The wisdom of the Proverbs tells us, “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want.” (Proverbs 11:24, ESV).

A scarcity mindset produces more scarcity. An abundance mindset produces more resources to give and to share and to enjoy. There is always plenty and plenty to give and to share.

May we enjoy the blessings and wealth of resources and gifts that we have been given by freely giving and sharing with others and find that there is an abundance for us all.

A Collect for Guidance: ”Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
