Using God’s Gifts
What gifts has God given you? Are you using God’s good gifts for God’s good purposes in the world?
God has given us all gifts and skills to be used to glorify him with our lives. We all have something to offer and to give.
In his first letter, the Apostle Peter wrote, “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” (1 Peter 4:10, ESV).
Our gifts were given so that we may serve God and one another. God’s good gifts in our life are expressions of God’s love and grace to be poured out upon his people.
May we pour out God’s grace through the use of the gifts we have been given as we serve one another.
A Collect for Those Who Serve Others: “O Lord our heavenly Father, whose blessed Son came not to be served, but to serve: We ask you to bless all who, following in his steps, give themselves to the service of others; endue them with wisdom, patience, and courage, that they may strengthen the weak and raise up those who fall, and, being inspired by your love, may worthily minister to the suffering, the friendless, and the needy; for the sake of him who laid down his life for us, your Son our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.” (#45., Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
