Condemnation

Do you feel condemnation from God or others? Where does condemnation come from? Are you condemned?

God has not come to condemn us, but to set us free from guilt and shame.

The gospel of John tells us, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3:17, ESV).

God desires for his people to be saved through him, not lost to their sin, guilt, and shame. Jesus did not come to condemn the world, but to save the world and to set us free.

May we experience the salvation of Jesus and freedom from condemnation as wee seek Jesus for the salvation we so desperately need.

A Collect for Peace: “O God, the source of all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works: Give to your servants that peace which the world cannot give, that our hearts may be set to obey your commandments, and that we, being defended from the fear of our enemies, may pass our time in rest and quietness; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
