Dedicated Work

To whom do you dedicate your work? What purpose does your work serve?

Our work matters. Our work has purpose and meaning in the world and for eternity. God has given us the gift of work for his glory and kingdom advancement.

The wisdom of the Proverbs instructs us to “Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established.” (Proverbs 16:3, ESV).

When our work is dedicated to God, our plans are established. When our work is dedicated to God, our plans become God’s plans and he establishes them.

Our work is to be dedicated to the Lord—dedicated to his purposes and kingdom advancement in the world.

May we dedicate our work to God and experience God establishing our plans.

A Prayer for Mission: “Almighty and everlasting God, who alone works great marvels: Send down upon our clergy and the congregations committed to their charge the life-giving Spirit of your grace, shower them with the continual dew of your blessing, and ignite in them a zealous love of your Gospel; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
