Freedom From The Law

How free are you?

Are you still trying to pay an unforgivable debt? Are you still trying to earn the favor of God and others? Are you attempting to make your good deeds outweigh your bad deeds?

How free are you?

If God has set us free from the law and from our earning or achieving our salvation, why would we submit ourselves again to slavery to the law? Why would we submit ourselves again to the bondage of religious ritual?

The Apostle Paul wrote the church in Galatia, saying, “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1, ESV).

We have been set free to be free. As people who are free from slavery to the law, we should be steadfast and watchful so that we do not fall into captivity once again.

May we be saved by Grace through faith and live freely in Jesus, and may we never again submit to the yoke of slavery to the law.

In Christ alone, Robbie

The Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.” (Matthew 6:8-13, ESV).
