From Run Down To Renewal

How discouraging can it be for us to live in this broken world? In the face of this decaying life, how much more do we long for renewal?

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church in Corinth, saying, “Therefore we do not give up. Even though our outer person is being destroyed, our inner person is being renewed day by day.” (2 Corinthians 4:16).

In the face of sin riddled brokenness and entropy, God does not want us to loose heart. God wants us to be encouraged that he is renewing us from the inside out each and every day. We are being renewed daily.

In the face of outward decay, may we seek the renewal of God from the inside out.

In Christ alone, Robbie

A Collect For The Renewal Of Life: “O God, the King eternal, whose light divides the day from the night and turns the shadow of death into the morning: Drive far from us all wrong desires, incline our hearts to keep your law, and guide our feet into the way of peace; that, having done your will with cheerfulness during the day, we may, when night comes, rejoice to give you thanks; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
