God’s Governance

Who is really in charge of our world? Who is governing all things?

God is sovereign and is reigning and ruling over everything and everyone.

The Psalmist writes of God’s governance, saying, “For the kingdom is the LORD’s, and He rules over the nations.” (Psalm 22:28).

The Kingdom of God is God’s rule and reign over all things in heaven and on earth. God governs everything. It is God who is truly in charge and is bringing about his Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

May we recognize God’s governance and come under his rule as participating subjects of God’s present and coming Kingdom.

In Christ alone, Robbie

A Collect For The Twenty-second Sunday after Pentecost, (Proper 25): “Almighty and everlasting God, you govern all things both in heaven and on earth: Mercifully hear the supplications of your people, and in our time grant us your peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
