God’s Help

How do you need help? Who can help you with what you need?

It is easy to be fearful when we need help. We can feel insecure and alone in the face of our weaknesses and need.

God spoke through the Prophet Isaiah saying, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10, ESV).

Because God is with us, we do not need to be afraid. We should not be distressed in our time of need because he is our God. In our weakness, God is our strength and he will help us. God will uphold us when we cannot hold on.

May we receive the help we need from our God who is with us, who will strengthen us, and who will uphold us.

A Collect For the Renewal of Life: “O God, the King eternal, whose light divides the day from the night and turns the shadow of death into the morning: Drive far from us all wrong desires, incline our hearts to keep your law, and guide our feet into the way of peace; that, having done your will with cheerfulness during the day, we may, when night comes, rejoice to give you thanks; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
