God’s Peace—God’s Rest

Where does your peace come from? What is the outcome of the peace God gives you?

True and lasting peace comes from God. It is God’s peace that gives us the true and lasting rest we long for and so desperately need.

The Psalmist writes, “In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.” (Psalm 4:8, NIV).

God allows us to rest in safety, as God gives us the peace we need to lie down in his security.

May we experience God’s peace and God’s rest as we trust in his safety and security.

In Christ alone, Robbie

A Collect For Peace: “O God, the source of all holy desires, all good counsels, and all just works: Give to your servants that peace which the world cannot give, that our hearts may be set to obey your commandments, and that we, being defended from the fear of our enemies, may pass our time in rest and quietness; through the merits of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
