God’s Refuge and Protection

Where does your security and protection come from? Where can you find the refuge you need in times of trouble?

Our perfect security, our refuge, and our protection is found in God alone.

The Psalmist writes, “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” (Psalm 59:16, NIV).

God gives us the strength and the love that we need in the midst of our hardship. God is our protective fortress when we are assaulted by our enemies. God is our refuge when we are surrounded by troubles of all kind.

May we seek God’s refuge and protection in this life that is filled with brokenness and danger, and may we say with the Psalmist, “You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word.” (Psalm 119:114, NIV).

In Christ alone, Robbie

A Collect For Protection: “O God, the life of all who live, the light of the faithful, the strength of those who labor, and the repose of the dead: We thank you for the blessings of the day that is past, and humbly ask for your protection through the coming night. Bring us in safety to the morning hours; through him who died and rose again for us, your Son our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
