Like No One Else
Who is God like? Is there anyone or anything greater or holier than God?
God is unlike anything and anyone else. There is no one greater than God. There is no one holier than God.
God is our sure foundation and our solid rock. There is no one like God.
In the Book of Samuel we learn about the uniqueness of God. The author tells us, “There is none holy like the LORD: for there is none besides you; there is no rock like our God.” (1 Samuel 2:2, ESV).
God is holy and almighty, unlike any other. There is no other besides God.
May we rest on the sure foundation of the solid rock of our holy God.
A Prayer for the Seventeenth Sunday after Trinity (Proper 23): “O God, our refuge and strength, true source of all godliness: Graciously hear the devout prayers of your Church, and grant that those things which we ask faithfully, we may obtain effectually; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
