No Condemnation

Have you ever experienced judgement and punishment for something you did wrong? What do you think God has in store for you for all you have done wrong?

Many of us believe that God is out to get us. We think that God’s ultimate goal is to strike us down in judgement and punishment for our misdeeds. In our guilt and shame, we believe that God seeks to condemn us for all our sin.

God is not seeking for his children to be judged and punished. God desires for his children to be loved, saved, and set free in his son Jesus.

In John’s gospel account, Jesus said, “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” (John 3:17, ESV).

May we experience freedom from the condemnation we deserve through God’s grace and salvation in his son Jesus.

A Collect for Strength to Await Christ’s Return: “O God our King, by the resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ on the first day of the week, you conquered sin, put death to flight, and gave us the hope of everlasting life: Redeem all our days by this victory; forgive our sins, banish our fears, make us bold to praise you and to do your will; and steel us to wait for the consummation of your kingdom on the last great Day; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
