Seeing God

Do you want to see God? What is your heart like? Do you know that the condition of our heart can affect how and if we see God clearly?

Most people long to see God. Few recognize there is a direct correlation between our ability to see God and the condition of our heart.

In the Gospel of Matthew, Jesus said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8, ESV).

When our hearts are pure, we can clearly see our holy God.

May we seek God from a pure heart and be blessed to see God clearly.

A Collect for Faith: “Lord Jesus Christ, by your death you took away the sting of death: Grant to us your servants so to follow in faith where you have led the way, that we may at length fall asleep peacefully in you and wake up in your likeness; for your tender mercies’ sake. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
