What is at the end of the difficulties of enduring hardships and not giving up?

We are called to endure hardships and difficulties as followers of Jesus. This life is filled with weary perseverance. In the middle of these challenges, we are called to do good and to never give up.

The Apostle Paul wrote this truth to the church in Galatia, encouraging them, saying, “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9, ESV).

There is great reward waiting for each of us at the end of our endurance.

May we endure the hardships of this life and never grow weary of doing good, and may we never give up—confident of the reward that awaits us on the other side of endurance.

A Collect For Endurance: “Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the Cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
