What is so great about today? Where did this day come from? What will this day bring?

The Psalmist writes, “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24, ESV).

This day is great, because God has made this day. We can rejoice in this day and be glad in it. God has made this day and has given it to us for our salvation and success.

As the Psalmist continues, “Save us, we pray, O Lord! O Lord, we pray, give us success! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We bless you from the house of the Lord.” (Psalm 118:25-26, ESV).

We can praise God for this wonderful day that the Lord has made, and we can rejoice and be glad in it. Because in this day, God brings salvation and success for his people.

May we bless the Lord for this day—for who God is, for all God has done for us, and for all God will do in our lives.

In Christ alone, Robbie

A Prayer For The Morning: “Almighty God, you alone gave us the breath of life, and you alone can keep alive in us the holy desires you impart. We beseech you, for your compassion’s sake, to sanctify all our thoughts and endeavors, that we may neither begin an action without a pure intention nor continue it without your blessing. And grant that, having the eyes of our mind enlightened to behold things invisible and unseen, we may in heart be inspired by your wisdom, in work be upheld by your strength, and in the end be accepted as your faithful servants; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.” (#83, Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
