Asking In Jesus’ Name

What do you need from God? Have you asked God about your needs? Have you asked for your needs to be met in Jesus’ name?

We all have needs, desires, and requests from God. Prayer is a relationship with God where we listen to God and talk with him.

Praying is listening to God. Praying is talking with God and expressing our love to him. Praying is offering our thanksgiving to God. Praying is asking God for what we need.

In John’s Gospel account, Jesus said, “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” (John 14:13, ESV).

Praying is a relationship with God, where we communicate with God, both in our listening and in our talking—all to the glory of God.

When we pray in Jesus’ name, God hears our prayer, and is glorified in his son Jesus.

May we come to God in intimate relationship through prayer in Jesus’ name, so that God may be glorified through his son Jesus.

A Prayer For The Spirit Of Prayer: “O Almighty God, you pour out on all who desire it the spirit of grace and of supplication: Deliver us, when we draw near to you, from coldness of heart and wanderings of mind, that with steadfast thoughts and kindled affections we may worship you in spirit and in truth; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (#5, Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
