Counsel And Faith

From where do you receive counsel? How much courage and faith is required for you to step out in obedience to wise counsel?

We all need wise counsel and the faith to follow through with the wisdom God gives.

The Psalmist writes, “I will thank the Lord for giving me counsel; my heart also chastens me in the night season. I have set the Lord always before me; he is at my right hand, therefore I shall not fall.” (Psalm 16:8-9).

When we seek God’s good counsel, we receive the wisdom and direction of God, and we can step out in faith courageously.

When we set our focus before us and upon the Lord, God abides with us and we will not fall.

May we seek God’s wise counsel always and have the faith to follow through.

A Collect For Faith: “Lord Jesus Christ, by your death you took away the sting of death: Grant to us your servants so to follow in faith where you have led the way, that we may at length fall asleep peacefully in you and wake up in your likeness; for your tender mercies’ sake. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
