God’s Hand

What does it look like to have God’s hand upon our life? What does God’s hand bring about in our life?

The Psalmist writes of God’s hand being with his people, saying, “Then we will never turn back from you; give us life, and we will call on your name. Restore us, O LORD God of hosts; let your face shine, that we may be saved.” (Psalm 8:18-19, ESV).

We are saved by God’s gracious hand. When God sets his hand to work, we will never turn away from him. God gives us life by his hand and we call upon him. God restores us by his hand. God’s face shines upon us and we are saved.

May we receive the gifts of God, faithfulness, life, prayerfulness, restoration, favor, and salvation, from God’s hand.

A Collect for Grace: “O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, you have brought us safely to the beginning of this day: Defend us by your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin nor run into any danger; and that, guided by your Spirit, we may do what is righteous in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
