How do we see God? How do we know what God looks like—his attributes and character?

If we want to see what God the Father looks like, all we need to do is look at Jesus.

The Apostle Paul writes, “For in Jesus the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority.” (Colossians 2:9-10, ESV).

We see God when we see Jesus. When we see and know Jesus, we are filled in him.

Jesus is the head over all and is the ultimate ruler and authority. We know and see God when we look to Jesus and come to know him.

May we be filled in Jesus and may we see God as we gaze upon the whole fullness of his deity dwelling bodily in Jesus.

A Collect For The Eve Of Worship: “O God, the source of eternal light: Shed forth your unending day upon us who watch for you, that our lips may praise you, our lives may bless you, and our worship on the morrow give you glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
