Knowing The Way

How do we know the right way and how do we go the right way?

We all need guidance and direction along our way in this life?

The wisdom of the Proverbs proclaims, “In all your ways acknowledge God, and he will make straight your paths.” (Proverbs 3:6, ESV).

When we acknowledge God in all our ways, we will find our pathway to be straightforward. The path will become evident to us, and it’s resistance will be minimized—guiding us along the way just as God directs us and wills us.

The Psalmist encourages us that God leads us in his way as we humbly seek God. The Psalmist writes, “He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble his way.” (Psalm 25:9, ESV).

We know the way we are to go as we acknowledge God and as we are humbly led by God as he teaches us his way.

May we know the way we are to go as we humbly seek God, and may we go the way God is leading us, as we acknowledge him and he makes our pathway straight.

A Collect For Guidance: “Heavenly Father, in you we live and move and have our being: We humbly pray you so to guide and govern us by your Holy Spirit, that in all the cares and occupations of our life we may not forget you, but may remember that we are ever walking in your sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
