Living With A Clean Conscience
Can you tell the difference when you are living out your faith with a clean conscience—with short accounts in regard to your integrity, and when you are convicted by your conscience?
The Apostle Paul lived out his faith in Jesus and shared his testimony boldly all around the Roman World. Paul lived an integrated life of integrity—living out his faith in Jesus with consistency and effectiveness.
In the Book of Acts, Luke writes of the account of the Apostle Paul giving his defense before the tribunal. Paul spoke boldly proclaiming his integrity, “And looking intently at the council, Paul said, “Brothers, I have lived my life before God in all good conscience up to this day.” (Acts 23:1, ESV).
Because of who Jesus is, and how Paul lived out his zealous faith in God, Paul was able to speak with confidence and to defend himself against hostile opposition again and again.
Like Paul, may we live integrated lives of integrity and conviction as we live out our faith in Jesus in our lives—as we navigate this broken world well—living as Jesus’ faithful witnesses.

A Collect For Peter and Paul, Apostles: “Almighty God, whose blessed apostles Peter and Paul glorified you by their martyrdom: Grant that your Church, instructed by their teaching and example, and knit together in unity by your Spirit, may ever stand firm upon the one foundation, which is Jesus Christ our Lord; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
