What is broken, old, or warn out in your life that could use a little renewal?

In our fragmented and weathered and worn world, we could all use some renewal of life.

To be renewed is to be made new again, to be renovated, restored, refurbished—integrated.

We all need to move from our broken and fragmented lives to the wholeness and the integration that God has designed us for.

The Apostle Paul wrote this to the church in Colossae, “Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.” (Colossians 3:10, ESV).

Paul also wrote to the Church in Ephesus, saying, “Be renewed in the spirit of your minds...” (Ephesians 4:23, ESV).

As followers of Jesus, we are called to renewal of life. God desires us to be made new again and to be made more and more into the image of our creator. God desires for us to put on a new self and to be renewed in our bodies, in our minds, and in our lives.

May we find the renewal of life that we need in Jesus—the author of our life and the renewer of our life.

In Christ alone, Robbie

A Collect For The Renewal Of Life: “O God, the King eternal, whose light divides the day from the night and turns the shadow of death into the morning: Drive far from us all wrong desires, incline our hearts to keep your law, and guide our feet into the way of peace; that, having done your will with cheerfulness during the day, we may, when night comes, rejoice to give you thanks; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
