What is the fruit of endurance?

When we are put in a position of our faith being tested, and when we have to endure hardships, it produces perseverance and maturity in our faith.

James said it this way, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:2-4, NIV).

When we face trials and hardships, and when we endure them, we mature and grow in our faith. Therefore, we can consider it pure joy to encounter trials, because they bring about transformation in our lives and maturity in our relationship with Jesus.

May we enter into the joy and the transformative fruit of enduring our trials.

In Christ alone, Robbie

A Collect For Endurance: “Almighty God, whose most dear Son went not up to joy but first he suffered pain, and entered not into glory before he was crucified: Mercifully grant that we, walking in the way of the Cross, may find it none other than the way of life and peace; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord. Amen.” (Book Of Common Prayer, 2019).
