The Light Of God’s Presence

How do we know if we are walking in the presence of God?

No one wants to walk alone in life, and if we walk alone in the darkness of this world, we will surely stumble.

For the follower of Jesus, we have the light of God’s presence and the presence of those who walk in the light with us. We are not alone.

The Apostle John wrote, “If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:17, ESV).

When we walk in the light of God, Jesus is with us in that light. We walk in the light of God’s presence when we walk with God. And when we walk in the light with him, we also have fellowship with one another “and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

May we walk in the light of God’s presence and have fellowship with God and one another.

A Collect For The Presence Of Christ: “Lord Jesus, stay with us, for evening is at hand and the day is past; be our companion in the way, kindle our hearts, and awaken hope, that we may know you as you are revealed in Scripture and the breaking of bread. Grant this for the sake of your love. Amen.” (Book of Common Prayer, 2019).
