Where Your Cares Belong

What do you do with the abundance of cares and concerns that you have? Where do your cares go? Where do your cares belong?

Our cares belong to the one who cares the most for us. We can entrust our cares to the person who cares the most for us.

The Apostle Peter wrote about what we should do with our cares in First Peter, saying, “Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6-7, NKJV).

God cares for us. And because God cares for us, we can humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand, so that he can lift us up, and we can cast all our cares upon him.

May we humbly give all our cares to our God who cares the most for us, and allow him to lift us up as he cares for us.

A Prayer For Trustfulness In Times Of Worry And Anxiety: “Most loving Father, you will us to give thanks for all things, to dread nothing but the loss of you, and to cast all our care on the One who cares for us. Preserve us from faithless fears and worldly anxieties, and grant that no clouds of this mortal life may hide from us the light of that love which is immortal, and which you have manifested unto us in your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.” (#80, Book Of Common Prayer, 2019).
